Next tours: October 4, 2008
Tour status: will not be canceled due to rain.
Depart promply at 2 PM, All City Coffee in Georgetown
End of the line: Interbay/Ballard, no later than 5:30 pm.
Bring a bike, a patch kit if you have one – hopefully someone will bring a pump!
We’ll be riding around 10 miles, through areas with lumpy pavement and lots of broken glass.
In this tour we visit the three major freight rail yards in town. It takes at least 3.0 hours but it is a good time. You hear about the who what why where when and how of the yards, a bit of their history, and current movements of trains through the yards. This tour was on hiatus for about three years…here you can see the old flyer circa January 2004.
